我自己当时做的感觉是觉得E很工整。
而选项A，like 的用法更典型的是， like 1， 2 balabla。 拿 1 和 2做比较。在此题中即为 owning and living in a freestanding house on its own land 和that of xxx。

like that of, that和之前的goal并列说不通吗？是因为前面的句子太长会产生意思上的unclear&ambiguous，还是根本语法上就有错误？求高人指点

82. 又看了些帖子，今天再对照shallbytwo的解释，好像明白了。
对于A错误的解释千奇百怪。根据OG上的解释Phrase, without subject and verb, is not parallel to the main clause
like + n.在平行结构中，一般用于和句子的主语比较。Like S1, S2 is blah blah blah，不大会和blah blah比较

112. 鉴于那个横空出世的and, 我们可以说choice A是the best among the worst么？

115. 看了manhattan，hypothesis这类词GMAT是偏向后面跟that clause而不是of being，而且类似情况being大多数为wordy...

对于82, like前面紧跟的是young adults, goal离得很远, 所以like的修饰对象不清楚.

另外, 这里比较的是应该是句子里面描述的意思, 而不是直接把两个goal作比较. 所以用as比like更符合句子的逻辑含义.

OG解释 ，like修饰主句主语，请楼主分析下，主句主语其实不是goal 而是owning and living，因而不可以用like哟。
