偶的水平很菜，所以觉不出这题容易。至少在目前给出的题目版本下。

偶认为在目前给出的题目版本下，没有正确答案。

如果这题真是真题，那应该是测试题，也就是说可能连ETS也没有完美的答案，另一种可能就是题目有错。

mindfree关于B中few than…as many的论述我认为是令人信服的。

但是C也是错的。

首先，C中there are什么呢？, there are本身和fewer都说明了there are后面省略的是具体的可数名词drive-ins，而不可能是一个抽象的数字概念。这样的话，比较的对象前面是具体的可数名词，后面是，正像LES说的，一个数字，一个抽象概念，这是典型的比较对象不对等。

Mindfree和LES所说的“number 和amount一样可以代表是一个数字，一个抽象概念”我感觉应该是可以的，但是在GMAT极端严格的环境下使用应该是不行，至少应该避嫌，所以我们见到过在这时用figure.

所以如果有选项是the number is less than one quarter of that figure.应该是可以接受的。

这道题目很容易

两部

一 可数名词所以用FEW不能用LESS

二 比较的是具体的数字所以用amount(就是figure number的意思而不是an amount of中修饰不可数表许多的意思！）

就做出来了啊

看了，半天我也不知道选什么,希望我去考试的时候别碰见这题

开始选D的,查了longman,quarter后面接名词确实应该加of,所以这里D就可以排除了.现在倾向选C 这道题感觉和GWD7-4题有点类似,大家可以比较一下(为什么用fewer而不用less了) Q4: Only seven people this century have been killed by the great white shark, the man-eater of the movies—less than those killed by bee stings.
