我想知道大家都写了diversity statement了么？
如果说我是中国人，这算是diversity么？
还有没有人写过是中国人，而且是LGBT的diversity statement呢？

if you want to indicate your ethnicity, then you should fill in Chinese. But you are counted as international students (unless you are U.S citizens) so the ethnicity does not actually matter, and the affirmative action policy does not apply to you.

我本来就是LGBT, 但是我不确定我是不是要在law school app上面come out，因为我的PS里面没有提到和activism之类相关的话题。
而且我不想利用这点，毕竟在我看来喜欢男人还是喜欢女人和能不能成为好律师，没有一点关系。

It would be pretty easy to see my ethnicity from my name even if I don't mark it in the application. And that might lead to issues such as "this girl really cannot live with being Chinese". But thank you for the input.

既然没关系，又要写这个diversity干吗?
如果要COME OUT的话，最好申请加州和纽约的学校。
千万不要申请BYU/ND/BC/GMU这些保守的学校。

据说找工作的话，说明LGBT还是有一定好处的。
就像BYU摩门教也是不受大众理解，但是找工作好处不少。

not for us. As long as we are not American Citizen, affirmative action will not apply on us, therefore firms/schools have no obligation to favor us for purely because of our ethnicity/orientation.

我应该不会申请ND之类的 我可能主要考虑T14
这14所学校应该没有discriminate的 如果这学校因为这个原因不要我 那么其实去了更倒霉
毕竟我还要生活学习三年 以后的人脉很大程度上也要靠这个

affirmative action对于international不apply么？
如果写我是les对录取没有好处的话 那么我觉得也没有必要写了
