Manhattan SC某个中文版本中，关于比较的2句话，有疑惑

1. The clothes inside the store looked more appealing than live;">did those outside the racks.

2. A cat cannot catch a wildbeest as fast as live;">it can a cheetah.

为什么第一句话要用“did those”倒装?  主语比较不应该直接说those did吗
另外，为什么第二句话要加it呢？如果第一个问题能解释通，那么第二句话直接说as live;">can a cheetah 不就好了？

我试着解释下啊，因为以前看过这样类型的句子，1. The clothes inside the store looked more appealing than did those outside the racks. 我觉得 did 放在前面倒装主要是因为outside the racks，outside the racks 最好是紧贴着修饰的名词 those 后面，所以把did 提前了。就正如未划线的句子：The clothes inside the store looked more appealing ，而它没写成：The clothes looked inside the store  more appealing 这样不觉得符合语法吗。所以后半句一样的道理。

2. A cat cannot catch a wildbeest as fast as it can a cheetah. 如果改成楼主说的as can a cheetah 就把句子意思改变了。句子实际是省略了A cat cannot catch a wildbeest as fast as it can（catch） a cheetah， it 指代的还是前面的cat，如果改成楼主的话，就是 cat 与 cheetah 再作比较，比哪个追上 wildbeest 更快了。

恩恩有道理~~不过我想问的和楼主有点点不一样~
我觉得应该写成 than those outside the racks did。。这样those不就直接被outside the racks修饰了而且did和前面平行。。。

需注意，比较从句使用倒装语序或陈述语气皆可，所以did放在哪里都没问题，第一个例子是后面的介词短语太长了 所以把did就放到前面去了。

第二个如果去掉了it  ，倒装不影响语意，所以变成了 a cheetah can，这样就成了宾语比较了，意思就变了，所以用it才能表示是主语比较
