One possible explanation is that the GMAT grammar rules are evolving.
When the current editors took the GMAT test, "AA is better" is considered acceptable by GMAT standard. Thus, they never changed their habit of using such expressions.
Another less likely explanation is that current editors were so fed up with GMAT grammer rules when they took the test decades ago that they decided to take some revenge by allowing imperfect, anti-GMAT grammar usages in the most prestigious journal NOW to mock the authority of GMAT. |
