我可以排除BC。我觉得so as to/in order that/so that形式都能表示目的，所以应该选哪个呢？？比较困惑……请各位指点~

E应该是could才好。所以我选D

so as to 表目的时， 其之前只能有一个 名词， 本题 King Henry VIII和Queen Catherine 两个人在so as to 前出现， 会产生指代不明。
so that无此要求。
