请高人指教！UND给了我一个telephone interview

前几天收到U of notre dame 的program direcotr一封邮件 说他们收到了我寄过去的材料 希望我complete application 并且 extend a telephone conference with me to discuss academic and career goals, scholarship and their great placement rate, 希望我给他们发邮件schedule一个时间

收到之后很惊讶 本来gmat考的太烂已经决定留在MSU继续读研了  没想到UND只看了我的成绩和gmat就来了这么一封诡异的邮件 。。我发信给他们小秘定了个时间说我这周就会complete online application  小秘给我回说 这个是一个question&answer discussion，他们现在貌似很多人申 是啥overwelming response，所以等我网申弄好了 再跟他们schedule一个时间

不知道有没有人遇到这种情况的？ 这个是正常的interview呢？ 还是什么？ 我本来真不抱什么希望了  难道又有了新的希望？
