刚才看了一下UT的网站,它是这样说的:
Do I need to find a faculty member who is willing to serve as my supervisor before I apply? No (and more specifically, you should not). In your application, you should mention the areas you wish to study. You are also welcome to mention names of potential supervisors. Neither the areas you mention nor the names of supervisors (if any) affect your chances for admission. If you are accepted, we will assign a supervisor to you, taking into account the areas of interest you mentioned in your application and the supervisor availability. If your initial supervisor assignment is not suitable, or becomes unsuitable later, you may change supervisors. The funding you receive is not affected by your area of study or the supervisor with whom you choose to work. |
