我的问题在于，比较，纠结了好几天，马上要考试了，现在属于一种因为知识杂在一起，而会去想很多的阶段
b项，我排除他的原因在于 我认为应该是 people in france and those in US consume fatty foods
要是之前做这个题目，我是首选b的，但是第二遍做的时候就选了c，因为觉得people和 us's 是可以并列的，看了帖子后发现compareble to 比较的是rate和us‘s，明白了d项的错误
但是b项我始终不能说服自己，这种修饰词的比较，介词是省略呢还是要加上，这个让我很纠结

我也选的是d，但是就是在想这个first woman and also the first swedish writer的问题，and的并列到底是看语义还是看结构，名词的话是一定要和and之前的名词紧跟修饰吗？

这里面主要是逗号的问题，是不是如果没有逗号，那么by pollution就是修饰的uncontrolled 那部分呢（不考虑逻辑，光讲语法来说）

第一题
A，at a rate comparable to the United States比较对象不合理，相信不会有问题。
C，at a comparable rate to the United States's, their中因为前面没有所属关系存在，使得这里的所有格含义模糊，不知道省略的是什么，而且their的指代也有争议。
D，the rate of fatty foods consumed不知道consumed修饰的是rate还是foods，错误。
E，the rate of people consuming和D是同样的问题。
对于你一直困惑的介词省略问题，我想加上是最好的，但是省略后如果不影响理解的话，就正确。

对于你后面的几道题题目，我没太理解你问的，你不要去设想改变题目后的是什么情况，没有必要。作对就行了。祝你考好！
