这是OG里一道题，同这道题完全一样，比较对象people因为完全一样被省略了

即a number指代前面的seven 还可以考虑一下

对于B  man-eater 中的横杠 和 movies—fewer 中的横杠不是同一种符号，前者是连字符，把两个词连在一起做一个新的词使用；后者是破折号，可以理解为引号。我第一次做这道题是就是把  the man-eater of the movies—fewer than have been killed 中的 -eater of the movies— 当作了一个整体，把- - 当作了类似一对引号的东西，于是将错就错的理解为了“电影中的进食者”，所以排除了B。

不知道有没有人和我犯同样的错误......

I don't quite agree with you. I think it is " people" not " seven people" that is omitted in this sentence.

省略的是people而不是seven people吧

我认为D的最大问题是，a number是同位语，应该紧贴seven people。现在这个同位语紧贴eater in the movies，显然不对。

众说纷纭，不过好像倾向于B得多一些，不会是选项给记错了吧，有没有同学在考场上再见该题？
如果把lloottuuss同学的那句话改成这样会不会就没有问题了？

B和E比较的化   还是B好 B的问题可以通过省略相同名词来解释，而E有致命的缺陷 前后时态不统一 时态属于正确性的错误

D肯定错的
