Hey there ,thanks for your trust! Yes, it would be my pleasure to offer up some guidance for you. Now regardless of where you come from, the first place to look when considering schools is the GMAT. So right away, we see that certain schools have average GMAT scores that are precisely in the range of 720: Berkeley, NYU, Yale, Wharton, Stanford, and Harvard all have averages that are within five points of your score. So this means, in the simplest terms, that NONE of these schools will be easy for you to get into. They will all be either stretch programs, or “in your range.” Now, as we have explained, since you are competing with so many smart, talented Chinese applicants, in many ways the standards will be even higher for your application. I am not worried about age, but the GMAT score is a bit low for the top schools.
So to answer your question (sorry to be long-winded), you should select a good range of schools. Schools where your GMAT is “in your range,” and schools where your GMAT is HIGHER than the target schools. So Kellogg, Booth, NYU, Michigan, Darden, Duke, Yale…these would be the types of schools I would focus on if I were you. Ranked 5-15. You could add HBS and Stanford, but if you do you should also add an easier target school, such as UCLA, USC and Cornell. I hope this helps!
