everybody help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!走过路过不要错过，小妹想问正确答案是c，我一开始认为分号后面的they会造成指代不明的情况，但是仔细发现是分号，所以前后应该是并列，所以主语they也就明确地指代了前一句子的主语tektites，不存在指代不明确的情况。
而如果将标点改成逗号，后面加上and they就会出现指代不明确了，不知道我的想法对不对，求nn答疑！

you cannot eliminate semicolon and change it into comma +and


comma+and is used when two separate and independent sentences are written ；semicolon is used to describe two related sentences


but here the latter part is an further description for the former part（you should read the sentence carefully）


also， according to the preferred rule stated in Manhattan， pronoun ambiguity is not an issue here


they will be pointed to the subject of the preceding clause （because of the same grammatical  role）

虽然这个句子不可一这样改，但如果是这样的情况，就是，and they ，那they 还是“ will be pointed to the subject of the preceding clause”的吧？
所以说，这道题根本就不存在指代不明的问题嘛？

yes， no ambiguous here
