如果proved的主语是the company, 那么falling的主语是什么？也是主句里的the company吗?
这里的proved和falling都是做分词吗？？如果都是修饰the company 为什么不用连词？而只用comma？

不是牛啊，只是觉得proved和前面的became平行些啊，falling那个是表示伴随把。。。是不是这样啊

我觉得所问的问题是不是要从prove的用法入手，prove在朗文中的用法如下
1【BE】 [linking verb]
if someone or something proves difficult, helpful, a problem etc, they are difficult, helpful, a problem etc
　The recent revelations may prove embarrassing to the President.
prove to be sth
　The design proved to be a success.

2 prove yourself/prove something (to somebody)

所以分词修饰的话应该是主动（proving unable）

所以必须作为谓语 则要加it 变成it proved（和became）unable to do

再看Manhattan语法里讲的
And is the most important coordinating conjunction. Whenever you see an and after a
comma, check for two possibilities: (1) a list (apples, grapes, AND pears), or (2) two main
clauses (I like apples, AND she likes grapes). The GMAT will occasionally create a mixed-up
sentence by linking a main clause to a fragment with and after a comma.
