今天做了比较结构。完全晕了。。。非常混乱。
求教几个问题。
P206，40题。
Last year，land values in most parts of the pinelands rose and almost so fast, and in some parts even faster than what they did outside the pinelands.
正确选项D:as fast as, and in some parts even faster than, those
those outside the pinelands是个名词短语吧。这比较概念不对等啊。我认为起码应该是those outside the pinelands did吧~比较的是rose的速度啊~~~为什么不要动词了？？？

然后P204的36题
In the 1980's the rate of increase of the minority population of the United Stated was nearly twice as fast as the 1970's.
正确选项C:twice what it was in 。这里为什么又很完整呢？？有动词，有it~

还有一道~P193，17题
Chicago，where industrial growth in the 19th century was more rapid than any other American city, was plagued by labor ......
B选项和C选项为什么不对啊？什么叫做把原来做表语的rapid该做定语就不对了？industrial 改为industrially就不对了？？为什么这样改就不对了呀？我知道industrially读起来是有点不好，别扭，但这足以构成不对的理由么？那B呢~~？？
B：which had industrial growth in the 19th century more rapid than that of other American cities
C:which had growth industrially more rapid than any other American city in the 19th century

P188页。第8题里面。正确选项B“Urban areas developed from clusters of houses where peasants lived and from which they commuted”,在前一章平行结构里说了，定语从句的并列只能是“which。。。。which。。。。”，“where。。。。where。。。”这里的并列是where和from which~~~~对么对么对么？？？

P189，第9题，
C选项~The life of Chekhov, unlike the lives of the subjects of other Troyat Biographies....前面是life，后面是lives~~~算是同一概念吧~~貌似说过最好要把同一概念用that， those替代。这里不替代的原因就是单复数不同对么？

比较结构我觉得好乱啊。。。主句里有的动词，比较从句里一会有，一会没有~名词一会用what it was， 一会用that，一会又省了。。。。

我彻底迷茫了~~~~~~~~~~~~

比较成分的主语和谓语与主句的主语和谓语都相同时 可以都省去
这句 比较的两个成分里面主谓都是values rose

而P204的36题 用了一个twice what+从句的形式表倍数
what后面要接一个完整的主谓结构来解释what

P193，17题
B选项属于逻辑意思错误 它用which had industrial growth代替了where industrial growth...was... 改变了句子的重心 原句是芝加哥的工业增长怎样怎样 改变之后变成芝加哥有一个什么样的工业增长 （这点我市从白勇那儿看来的）
C选项明显错的离谱 首先它也有上面提到的改变句子重心的问题
而且关于industrial变成industrially的问题 原句是用形容词industrial修饰growth 表示“工业增长” 而C选项 industrially语法上修饰rapid “增长工业地更快”是什么意思？ 错的很远

P188页。第8题 where 和 from which可以并列 它们的先行词都是clusters of houses 这两个关系代词跟这个先行词搭配都没有问题


P189，第9题   你的解释应该是对的


关于比较结构很混乱的问题  建议你可以参考一下白勇的 GMAT语法全解 讲的比较全面 （我也没看别的书==）
还有就是多读 习惯了以后感觉就出来了 慢慢培养
