In choice A, the phrase/row being stolen lacks the necessary noun or pronoun that specifies what it is that might be stolen. Choice B is best because it provides the pronoun it, which refers to chalice. Like choice A, choices C and E lack the pronoun. D is wordy and awkward in its use of the passive voice. Moreover, avoid is used imprecisely in C and D because it illogically suggests that the chalice is acting to prevent its own theft.

avoid表示chalice主动避免被偷，不合语法的。

og 还说avoid后面缺了it。如果C改为to avoid it，对不对？avoid后面的it是不是就是为了明确“避免”这个动作不是chalice自己发出的？

现在在进行第二遍og 总结了，我觉得这道题和og 171在目的状语的使用上很类似，但og 似乎对两道题目的解释有些不同，所以再次提出来希望大家讨论一下。

og 对171的解释说，a选项does not specify who is to marry Anne，这是否说明省略了主语的目的状语的逻辑主语一般为主句的逻辑主语呢？

如果是这样，那183中的c选项to avoid 的逻辑主语自然可以认定为主句的逻辑主语，即somebody，又如何会imprecisely in C and D because it illogically suggests that the chalice is acting to prevent its own theft呢？？？

OG的解释说C中to avoid可能造成歧义，认为chalice自己能放盗。

可是正确答案中的to keep为什么就没有这个问题呢？两者有什么本质的区别？
