本人选C 并认为E 有问题在于unlike atomic reactors,和Nuclear fusion。
reactors至少是一个东西， 而Nuclear fusion是一个物理过程，怎么能在一起比较？
而又不知道C的明显错误在哪里。

merge和split 的主语应该是force, 如果用merging,则主语就变成了bombs,意思不符,所以ABC都不对.D,好像语法上我们没看出什么错, 但是相比E而言,D太罗嗦,不选.

读完提干后，不看E选项，我觉得划线部分的句意就是 nuclear fusion 像 nuclear reators  一样 merge the nuclei of atoms and not split them apart，因为我把 as in nuclear reators 理解为是整个句子的状语，其逻辑主语就是句子主语nuclear fusion。 前四个选项在逻辑上也给人这样的感觉。

可是选项E的意思好像完全相反，说的是 nuclear fusion 和 atomic reators 不一样，前者 merge，后者 split。

不知道是我对这个句子的理解有问题，还是E选项的意思就是和原句相反？

本题有两个比较难的问题
I.> nuclear reactors到底和谁并列，即可以作为that从句的一部分，和force that并列，也可以作为主句的一部分同Nuclear fusion并列（但从词表面意思上分析，nuclear reactors无论与nuclear fusion还是force都不是完美同类，并列在一起都有点勉强。）。
II.>含有as和like/unlike的哪个句子更能更准确表示出merge…not split的意思。首先考虑把肯定和否定分开说清楚的选项(今后再碰到这种主句动作混合有肯定和否定的时候， 要重点考虑这个方面)。

      （当然如果从伴随动作和主句动作的关系，从not but, instead of, rather than的用法，和as do…等代表动作的意义上认真看懂题分析，也可以首先分析出正确的并列关系：nuclear reactors 同nuclear fusion，排除A，B，C，然后D中is done没根据，然后进而分析出答案E来。但没有从上面第二个方面考虑来的快）
