Computer is not expensive here. I think you can get one around HKD 3000.

Before the school starts, I don't think you need to buy a book to study. Wait until the course start and see whether they will use a book

The most expensive and trouble thing in HK are rent, which is very expensive. Did you apply to live in dorm? I think it will be cheaper.
