   答案是E，其他都有错误。我想问：E中allowing的逻辑主语无疑是sentence，但是while performing 的逻辑主语是什么？似乎只能是criminals（them），因此while performing 似乎不能和allowing平行啊！！performing 按照意思只能和remain unconfined 平行，但是在一个不定式中（to do)可以再套用while从句吗？？迷惑

   请教大家。。。

  

    此外D选项中，假设which改为that，其他错误不看，has前面是否一定需要逗号？？

    另外问一个知识点：介词+one's doing 这个表达是否肯定错？？以前上XDF，记得老师这么说过，还有one's being done是否也错？？？

1,"但是在一个不定式中（to do)可以再套用while从句吗？？" 应该是这样的。while 修饰 remain confined。

2，一般情况下，介词短语是可以找到主语的，能找到主语的介词短语，介词后面的动名词就已经有了逻辑主语，没必要在后接的动名词前加one's，多余。has前没有插入语，所以主助动词has前不能有逗号。one's being done 95%情况下是错的，看能不能找到逻辑主语。

  其他都能理解。只是在to do里套while从句实在不能理解，而且动词上是to do和doing并列，不理解

to remain是宾语补语，也就是说them和to remain是主谓关系。allow (them to do while doing), 没有to do和doing的并列，while doing是to do的从属成分。

最好你查一下S（主）+V（谓）+O（宾）+C（补）的句子的语法概念。语法书上相应的章节看了之后就应该理解了。
