haha, Biz PHD is totally different from Math, Physics PHD. The higher the school ranks, the bigger the difference it is. Many people know a PHD here and there, but few knows it is all about supply and demand. In Biz and law field, a professor's salary is for decoration(they are the highest paid professors anyway), that is to pay regular bills. The major money is made out of school. Same applies to very famous Math and Physics Professors as well. But in law and Biz, it is much easier, because you don't rely on national research fundings that much. In Berkeley, we have a professor making 1.5 million a year, but he still teaches, because the professor title is one of the keys why he made so much money. And he is not even a famous professor. |
