反衬

我自己觉得 many of them 还是many of whom，要从以下几方面出发
1. many of them 和many of whom/which 是可以互换的，两者皆没有错误。
区别在于many of them后面不能出现谓语动词，而many of whom/which之后必须有谓语才能构成完整的定语从句。
2.为什么出题者喜欢用many of them而不是many of whom/which?
我个人总结的原因：
a. them避免了人还是物的用词选择问题。

例如这道题

b. them 不需要就近而which/whom有比较严格的就近要求。
c. them没有谓语，避免了时态的可能错误，也更加简洁。

就是我上面用黄色标出来的那句话是不是说的太绝对了
many of whom后面是必须要加谓语的
但是many of them是不是要看情况啊
比如说OG12-43

我觉得them在用的时候也要很注意，并不是说ETS更喜欢them 因为them很容易造成指代的歧义

补充一点：请指教

whom是关系代词(Relative Pronouns)，引导关系从句；
而同位语结构起修饰语作用，一般用于修饰名词或名词短语；
所以说whom并不适合用在同位语结构中。
