今年确实比较难，我听说的一个台湾男生，UMN Macc，上过PhD seminar，申了28所学校，最后没offer

Obviously, competition is indeed fierce this year...
Another thing is, most US universities require a TOEFL over 100. I think your TOEFL score also becomes a problem when you applying programmes in North America ...

anyway, UST is good. Congratulations....

我也觉得科大挺好的，publication方面跟美国top 20差不多了吧

今年竞争很激烈，我在版上认识的几个拿到北美acct phd offer的同学（4-5个）都是美国的macc，gpa 3.8+，gmat 750+。有些人还上过phd-level的课，有些还有四大经验，有些有两个master

不知道明年会如何

我确实知道会计的博士是难上难的，现在也只想努力读，能申到什么程度就到什么程度吧，香港那边我把课尽量选的微经和计量多一些，然后选修全选会计，希望能把这个MSAE自己打造成理论方向的会计。。。只是我自己的想法。。。因为只是一年的硕士嘛，所以我还是想再挑战一次自己，就没有接受兰卡，然后假期重新考英语，重新来过。。。我非常佩服heshaohua666这位师兄，金融研究，中国财务与会计评论。。真的很厉害。。。没有去美国史有些遗憾的。。但是科大已经很top了。。
至于申请这块，有两个学姐是我知道的，05级，一位是大四毕业NYU会计博士，一位毕业后去圣母学的会计，今年申到罗彻斯特。。。所以学校到底看重什么我觉得实在很神奇很难说了。。。

05级，一位是大四毕业NYU会计博士 is she a current phd student in nyu, it seems that no chinese is in the program now. you can check the profiles of nyu accounting phds. There is only one chinese who graduated in 2002 from this program

是有一年级的NYU会计博士是人大本科直接去的，我听一个NYU来我们学校做presentation的老师提过。申请的运气很重要，加油吧
