Anyone could help to explain?

I am confusing about the the plural include and sigular is in the same clause. The that clause should modify tropical birds , then how comes use sigular form verbs?
If that clause modifies a group, such use violate the general rules that attributive clause should adhere to the antecendent.

Thanks for your response.
However, I guess you miss my question. I admit that the verbs in parallelism need to be consistent. My concerns is how comes there is inconsistence between a plural subject 'a ground of birds' and singular verb 'íncludes/is'.

A of B + do,这个形式并不是时时刻刻都是就近原则的，大部分时候需要靠句意的判断
这个题的判断 依据一个是 后面谓语形式的一致
另外你再仔细看一下句意
ovenbird 只是 New World tropical birds 的一个群体， ovenbird 里面有230个speices
如果include是修饰birds，那么意思有改变，成了 New World tropical birds 有230个speices

谢谢。我下午又想了一下这道题，此处a group应该是做名词指代graveteiro，而不是作量词a group of 使用，这样就应该用单数了。
