请问有没有人了解Cornell的MPS program啊

虽然这是商学院申请区，但希望大家帮忙给点意见哈，不胜感激~~~

目前拿到Cornell AD MPS in Applied Statistics和牛津 AD MSc in Applied Statistics。

本来是主申美国的，顺带着申了一个牛津，因为其实从大一开始就打定主意去美国读研的，个人喜好来讲也是英国远不及美国。结果没想到牛津还真给了AD，毕竟牛津的名气还是很难让人拒绝的，所以很犹豫，不知道去哪个好。

牛津的统计似乎是全英第一，cornell全美前五吧，不过我毕业以后也不想从事统计方面的工作，所以专业排名也不是那么重要。

这两个项目都是一年的，我理想的情况是毕业以后进银行做back office，比如operations。本来想如果去了美国就争取先在美国找工作，如果去牛津就直接去香港新加坡了。但是听说international students毕业留美国也挺难的，尤其是金融领域，本人也没有特别强烈的欲望扎根儿美国，所以也不排斥美国毕业在亚太范围内找工作。

仔细读了一下学校官网上的介绍，觉得牛津的项目要正规一些，但是课程设置挺局限的，虽然有选修课，但是也都是统计精算范围内的。相比之下cornell的选修内容就要宽泛得多，像finance相关的都可以学。只是cornell统计有两个master program，MPS(Master of Professional Studies)和MS/PHD，跟MS/PHD相比MPS就显得挺水的。。。名字听着就很奇怪>_<
当然我是不打算读PHD的，只是怕万一放弃牛津选了Cornell结果去了发现那项目其实不是很正规，花了冤枉钱。。(顺便提一下，cornell的学费就跟牛津的学费加生活费一样贵）
所以希望知情人士帮忙提供点信息和选校建议~ 非常感谢！

MPS=master of professional studies,好像是Cornell专门创造出的一个名称，而不等于水吧。首先你先google一下这个学位，同时给学校发信让他们解释一下这个和其他的区别

兔子兄这个爆料足以证明MPS不是一种不规范的项目，估计国内的人不会不承认吧。
当然貌似统计的MPS大部分是中国人，这个是水了点。

Master of Professional Studies (MPS, or MProfStuds, or MProfStudies) is a recognized masters degree concentrated in an applied field of study.
