That's a tricky question, it depends on banks.
Citi, DB and UBS are usually generous giving return offers.  
For the class graduating last Dec, the placement rate is over 80% by now, 2010 class should do better since the summer internship statistics is significantly better than 2009 class.

how about the chance to get full job offer? i have internship too but cant secure the fulltime job offer.

还是说是给CMU学生"upgrade"到associate?

It's more of a MSCF thing, many banks give associate or senior/2nd year analyst positions to MSCF students without working experience.

Banks usually extend analyst positions to master students without full time w/e.

Associate一般给有PhD背景的MFE毕业生，即使没有工作经验。
考虑到大部分cd申请者都是国内本科，建议LZ单列出这部分学生的summer情况，才更有比较性。

除去associate，不知道这里面有几个是国内本科过去的？谢谢

不好意思，没有征得同学的同意，这个给得太具体也不方便，人本来就不多。

只能说国内本科过去的同学与其它同学是comparable的。

国内本科无工作经验过去的有3个同学，已经全部找到大行实习，并且其中有Associate的职位。

PhD再念MFE的确一般都给Associate，但在金融危机之前，银行给本科直接Master的也给Associate。前两年市场不好，银行就给analyst，现在市场好转以后给的职位又稍微好点了。说来说去就是supply demand，市场差的时候有工作就谢天谢地了，市场好的时候待遇不给高一点怎么吸引人才呢？

不过入行以后就靠自己打拚了，这Analyst/Associate差别不是什么大事，毕竟得工作几十年。
