紧急求助! 我该怎么办?

大约两周前接到一个保底学校的非正式offer. 随着deadline的临近, 其它学校要么拒信要么还是没消息, 十分焦急中...... 问题就是我不知道如何回复该学校, 是先"accept"弄到正式的offer再说呢, 还是采取什么别的措辞呢? 如果我现在"accept"了以后再拒绝会有什么影响吗? 谢谢大家!

学校关于deadline的原话是这样的:"lease let us know as soon as possible about your intent to come, because if you don't plan to come we'd like to offer the position to someone else.  It would be helpful to us if you could contact me by 3/18, even if by that time you cannot give me a certain answer."

They asked you to contact them even you don't have an definite answer by March 17, you should contact them at least. Try to explain the 4/15 agreement to see if they can extend a few days. At the same time, you should contact other schools to get results by explaining the situation.

Thanks for your advice! Sorry I mistyped it, should be 3/18.

I did contact other schools but most schools are not willing and not able to change their schedule just for people like me.

In this case, I think (my opinion only) you should accept the offer on the last day coz technically it is the school itself violating the 4/15 agreement. But be nice.  Also, for other schools, you should call instead of email to get the result. I don't think it will be a big problem especially if it is a rejection. They normally discard email though. Be proactive. Good luck.

You should first try get extension and use this offer to push other universities. Once you accept it and reject it later, it's their right if punish you or not, that's not good and may make you unhappy, right?

我已经采取了楼上两位的建议. 谢谢各位!

今天打电话过去聊, 发现其实是我自己会错意了. 人家的意思其实是说3/18号告诉他们自己是不是已经有更好的学校录取了. 如果没有的话, 等到4/15再答复没有问题... sigh, 白担心了半天...
