Cornell or Columbia?

Hey...I've got Columbia and NYU too...
For me,I didn't even apply Cornell or MIT.
I think MIT is too hard to get it...so didn't even try.
Cornell...um...I think I've been living in big cities for too long that I can not leave HK and go to middle of nowhere in US...not sure this gonna be an issue for you though.

Anyway,congrats!

Frankly speaking, I've lived in Beijing, Singapore, and Toronto all my life, so Ithaca may be a challenge for me too... but Cornell's program is really hard to beat.... and think of it this way... for two years you are stuck in the village of Ithaca with all your MPS/RE friends, 25 from your year and 50 from the senior and junior years... so in the end, you'd probably gone drinking more times with your future networking group than Columbia or MIT.... and its education is so solid that it compare nicely with MIT.

Columbia is kinda short for me... and since it's focused on entrepreneurship/development, I doubt you can land a decent job next year in the States. I may be wrong on this though. I mean with crazy strong networking skills, you can probably land a job w/ a diploma from any school.

I may sacrifice a year and go to Cornell if I don't make it into MIT.... not 100% certain... Let's check out the programs first and then decide....

我也是今年申請MSRE(D). 目前錄取Columbia和NYU.

這兩個program, 感覺是各有各的好, 目前正在猶豫中...

huhuorbobo 有決定要去哪了嗎?

哈哈，让大家失望了。楼主没能5连OFFER，昨天给MIT的Maria发了个email，人家很polite的告诉我被拒了。
So, that leaves Cornell and Columbia to choose from… The decision that bothers me right from the beginning (which reflects well in the title of this thread) has finally come on the table…damn!
3月29号我会attend Columbia 的Meet and Greet 和Vishaan会参加的Q&A session，然后4月1号去看一下Cornell，争取和学生们、career service的人聊聊看。有没有打算同行的？
不能再拖了，两周之内一定要做个决定！
