why the answer is A, not B? also what's wrong with D and E?

这个帖子上面有具体的解释。其实CD上有帖子对这个题进行讨论， 不过是讨论，没有确定的解释。

修改一下, 之前说错了; 恩。。我自己觉得还可以补充一个double的用法，double可以是不及物或者及物动词，double as much as something， 本身就存在错误， 因为double 本身的意思就是 to make something twice as much, 所以double as much as是unidiomatic, 只能 twice as much as； 一定要这么说， 就要改成：A doubles something as much as B does (something).
分开说：A double B， A is twice as much as B， 这两个意思是一致的,用法正确, 但混在一起， 意思就产生了歧义了。
