About the Speaker:

Lisa Piguet is both American and Swiss. She was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, where she obtained a B.S. in Business and Psychology from Colorado State University. After graduating from university she joined The Adolph Coors Company, where she worked as a Marketing Analyst.

In 1989, she moved to the Silicon Valley and joined Software Publishing Corporation as an Account Manager. She then moved to Logitech in 1991, where she ultimately became National Sales Manager in charge of domestic corporate sales as well as Key Account Manager for chain and catalog accounts.

In 1994, she founded her own direct marketing company, Plan B Marketing, before moving to Switzerland in 1999. She then worked as a Senior Consultant for the executive search firm of De Weck and Partners.

Lisa joined IMD in 2002, as an Admissions Committee Member and then later as a Career Strategist. In 2005 Lisa became Associate Director of Admissions and Participant Services and now is managing Admissions and Marketing.

JinLong (Fill) Niu is IMD MBA alumni from 2009 class. He obtained a B.S. in Ocean Chemistry from China Ocean University in 1999. After graduating from university, he started a new business to export Chinese goods.

From 2001 to 2008, Fill worked for Dell, engaging in growing Dell Services organization in Asia, managing Marketing programs and optimizing global Supply Chain.

Quan (Elvis) Liu is IMD MBA alumni from 2008 class. He obtained a B.S. in Computer Science from Fudan University in 2000. After graduating from university, he joined IBM Business Consulting Services. He engaged in SCM, BPR and ERP consulting practices as initially management trainee, consultant and then project manager at IBM from 2000 to 2005.

In 2005, Elvis joined L’Oreal China as an internal business consultant, engaging in its IT strategy planning and SAP global rollout. From 2006 to 2009, he was independent consultant helping international clients in corporate planning, market entry strategy, SCM and operation optimization.

Elvis is currently Corporate Development Director at BEST Logistics Technology, a startup providing logistic solution and services for clients across various industries.
