Alex: Not sure where you got the rumor but it's not true that our campus visits are finished. Currently you are on our alternate list. The number of of applicants this year more than doubles that of last year and we have to put many excellent applicants such as you temporarily on hold. We'll let you know if there is any update. Best.

“you made the “final 16”, but did not make the wait list (which is extremely strong this year).  ”
虽然是没希望了，不过挺开心的，columbia的final 16对我来说，也算是认可了，毕竟年纪尚浅，又没有工作经验；本科时成绩也平平。
