请问利润怎么能自己去付钱呢？应该是profit be used to pay啊。。

另外E我觉得 除了as没有while的转折语气外 并无硬伤~

E中的with是独立主格,从简洁性上来说,从句比独立主格简单

原文的subject是单数，迅速排除ABD.paying这个动作表述的意思有问题，钱已经在过去付了，还用什么ing形式？

for doing sth. 不一定是正在做的吧 我觉得它也表达了to do的意思 只是没有那么简介 在其他情况都一样的情况下选to do

但是这里我确实觉得C的went to pay for有问题啊。。。

我的问题是 利润可不可以作为付钱的主语

我们一般会说the profit is used to pay...(by people)但是这里却变成利润自己去付钱了

这里明显不能理解为付钱，而要理解利润流向了哪里。如果你学过经济类的专业，应该很容易理解。我们一般说企业的利润分配，一部分流向了研发部门，这个时候你就不能刻板地理解为钱自己付了自己，明显是illogical的。
