拋磚引玉－GMAT語法表達之十大見光死

做了幾天語法，總結幾個表達，下面詞組或結構選項中出現一般都是錯誤的。

歡迎大家討論，指正和補充。

1. instead of 見光死，直接pass, 找rather than；

2. there be 見光死，找實義動詞；

3. as with 見光死， 找like/unlike;

4. being sth 見光死， 找as sth；

5. even though 見光死， 後面通常跟but....， 找although,或者but就夠了

感覺這些考點在GMAT當中反反復複，出現太多了，就簡單總結下；一句話對總結就是GMAT語法只有一個考點：主謂一致。不一定對，大家參考。

6. as well as 見光死， 直接用and；（这个情况是和both连用的情况下多见）

7. because of 見光死，直接用because/for/in that...；（这个未必，得需要看because of后跟什么）

9. sb do sth for doing sth見光死，直接換成sb do sth to do sth；（表示目的一定要用to do，但是这个只是在动词的前提下）

只能说大部分是不优选项，一切还是从句意出发，单单从形式来判断。。。现在就中gmac的圈套了

Umm…如果从纯做题的角度来看，依照这10条来解确实可以达到一定的正确率。每一条在GMAT的官方资料中里面都有反例。我觉得在面对GMAT这样一个考试时，如果认死一些现象来进行选项排除可能还不如接受这些现象，探究这些现象出现的本质原因，这样才能确保万无一失，对自身的英语水平也能有很大提高。其实GMAT语法跟我们日常正规文书里面用的语法区别甚甚微。

1. instead of 見光死，直接pass, 找rather than；
大全607. Research during the past several decades on the nature of language and the processes that produce and make it understandable has revealed great complexity instead of underlying simplicity.

2. there be 見光死，找實義動詞；
GWD-8-Q41  When drive-ins were at the height of their popularity in the late 1950’s, some 4,000 existed in the United States, but today there are fewer than one-quarter of that amount.

大全205  Certain pesticides can become ineffective if used repeatedly in the same place; one reason is suggested by the finding that there are much larger populations of pesticide-degrading microbes in soils with a relatively long history of pesticide use than in soils that are free of such chemicals.

3. as with 見光死， 找like/unlike;
With diamonds, as with all gems, you should ask for a written description of your purchase; the description may prove useful later if you have reason to believe the jeweler misled you.

4. being sth 見光死， 找as sth；
prep 2-103  Simply being genetically engineered does not make a plant any more likely to become an invasive or persistent weed, according to a decade-long study published in the journal Nature.

8. not only.....but as well as見光死，GMAT對not only...but also情有獨鍾，只要題干出現，正確選項中必定保留；
not only…but also未必正确，未必保留。还是要看原句逻辑。

for doing和to do说表达的含义不同。To do时表示了一次性行为，或者说目的性行为，而for doing中的doing是gerund，表达的是一个状态，或者是一个持续性的动作。

10. sb/sth, who/which do.....見光死，直接插入ing形式，即sb/sth, doing....., do.....

要看会不会引起修饰歧义。
