再问prep 150，关于同位语

唉，我这两天，突然看不下去了。主要是一看就觉得超级的紧张……我现在都不敢轻易做题了。我怕到时候错一片，没信心了……

有关同位语我也想问一下：
是不是必须在修饰名词的前后吧？我感觉如果同位语结构中间插入比如分词结构作修饰，那么就应该不能叫做同位结构了，就是重复主语。
我的意思就是说如果两个名词在一起，可能是同位语结构；但是如果中间被隔开，就肯定不是同位语，如果不是别的什么结构，那肯定是重复主语。比如，PREP1-4

E选项，如果去掉excited那部分， The inventor of alternating current，Nikola Tesla可以是同位语；不去掉，就是主语重复（破解上也是认为主语重复）。
另外白勇语法11页也说，同位语一般在名词前或者名词后，也就是说不可能跳跃。。。
最近有点晕，请NN指教。。。

有种错误叫主语垂悬应该有印象吧 我觉得对付同位语在很多时候可以用到这个来判断
解释主语的同位语如果在前就垂悬了 和你说的不可跳跃修饰理解起来也差不多...

赵丽老师好像上课讲过，同位语只能给主语或者宾语一个definition。所以同位语应该不能指代整句话吧~

同位语是GMAT考试中非常灵活的一个应用点，可以修饰整句(特别是后置情况)也可以修饰就前面的一个单词 虽然多数情况是前者；碰到简单题你可以用来秒杀，碰到难题你就错了，这是GMAT一直以来无法使用一些通俗语法点作为100%准确阶梯技巧的关键

但有a phenomenon, a tendency, a trend等等等等，完全可以指代前文一整句；一个比较有意思现象是这类次后面倾向于that来修饰，而不是分词，因为本身已经是大词了，后面要讲述内容会比较复杂，分词只会形成歧义

但一般来说，会用比较大的词来做整句修饰，一些实意名词来就近修饰，的确蛮难区分的。

回到这题As是作为的意思，这个用法很灵活，也可以做限制修饰也可以作为非限制修饰，可以指代就近也可以指代整句（如as a result of）

这句话我个人从语意上来讲，我觉得可以写（as）(a) part of a deal that will makes或者(as)(a)part of a deal to make...
至于D的话应该是purchase sth as sth to make itself而不是make it

这是我看到GMAT语法另一种意识上比较难得题目的特点，一般我们经过语法训练后比较容易从相近结构上判断出哪个对哪个错，但是这种本身和A选项逻辑意思上就发生比较大错误的选项我们反而会看不太出来

那as在此处做什么成份呢？

Ron神认为只有抽象词作为同位语时能够修饰前面的一整个句子或者idea，而如果同位语是concrete名词的时候，只能修饰靠近的名词。这里part of a deal很明显是第二种，修饰的是前面的million dollars，而不是一整个purchase的过程。所以不同类，不正确。

翻老题，给大家提个醒：Ron对D答案的解释：if you use the infinitive "to make", then the computer company is still the subject of the sentence. therefore, in this case you have to use the reflexive pronoun: itself. as an analogy, i can't look at me in the mirror, but i can look at myself in the mirror. same deal.
