我想772可以用排除法吧. 答案中肯定不能有FOR,因为是应该是和THE STRUCTURE AND STRENGTH比较的,而且是并列的. 而且不应该是THEIR,应该是ITS MOVEMENT吧,因为指代HURRICANE.

D中为什么不用in the ocean and the atmosohere呢？

第1 题，和 the storm's structure and strength 一样, 这里并没有说 the storm's structure and the storm's strength. 所以， 这里 the speed and path 是没问题的。

第2题，El Nino, （ 插入语 ）, + 句子。 所以， D and E 成立。但，定语重句不用where, 应该用in which修饰phnomenon。 再说，combine to do something 固定搭配。

我想这里主要并列的是gauging 后面的成分，即the storm’s structure and strength, 和the speed and  path of their movement.
