Econ analytical modeling  and Technical A journal publications amounts to less than 10 percent (MISQ, ISR), why do you say people with that kind of training are better in the job market?

But of course, if someone is Niubi enough, he can always shoot for Mgt Sci...

It is consistent... I think too many people are doing in empirical/organizational issues... the job market is kind of supply and demand...

where did you get the publication statistics?

I have said that I am not so sure about which kind of research is hot now. But I am curious about the public statistics.

10% is too low for analytical modeling and empirical research type publications.

It is true that MISq prefer empirical research. But Management science and ISR might adopt some modeling and technical papers.

Maybe I confused you about the job market question

When I said "it seems that the job market of economics modeling is better",  economics modeling here means reseach in MIS except behavior research, including modeling and empirical work.

I did so because it is an answer to the question of #9.

I have a question. “Two paradigms characterize much of the research in the Information Systems discipline: behavioral science and design science [1, p.75].”  It seems to me that system design and business intelligence can be grouped into design science (technical study). Perhaps behavioral science stream is more like empirical research because most studies are based on hypotheses testing by using SEM or PLS. Falsification, which follows the idea of Aristotle, is the core scientific philosophy of empirical research. But, how about economics modeling? Which paradigm should it belong to? I am really confused.
