finance PHD申请求建议

本科，国内top 5金融学，GPA惨不忍睹，3.0X。

master, eco MS在美国专业排名50+， GPA4.0。

GMAT很鸡肋，700+5.0.

硕士11门课，2门管院数量课程，不少是计量和统计的课程，旁听了数学系的金融数学，2个经济系老师推荐一个管院老师推荐，管院及本系其中一个老师给我课程rank 1,strong推荐但都不是牛教授。有1个研究，但是没出什么成果，老师答应会在推荐信里提科研能力。

博士申请可能更看重本科成绩，这个是我最weak的部分，但是我也无能为力了，毕竟本科基本就没学习，尽玩了，我自己的定位是30-60，集中在50左右，我清楚希望不大，毕竟竞争太激烈了，但是因为不太非常在乎funding的问题，所以申请5个MFE，勉强算个保底把。

Your GMAT is a little bit low. And after talking with several professors, I have the feeling that they really put emphasis on GMAT.

Your graduate GPA is great, that's a plus. Actually, i think if you can retake GMAT and have a score above 740, you will have a chance to schools in 30-50.

You are right!
But I don't think only GMAT can guarantee top 30-50.


I scored 750, but our director still asked me to apply to some 50-100's school
