To brave: could u pls tell how much your verbal percentage? I am 72 and was denied by it. Two reasons: not reach 75 and TWE 4.5(not reach 5). Nead I complain to AC? Maybe I can retake Toefl to get TWE 5. However, I don't want retake G. Even if I am all qualified, I will still have other reasons to keep me out. 这个新贵有点浮燥，难以把握。

i think your hard qualifications are strong enough, maybe you should try to search out soft factors and digging out enough of yourself from your past experience, essays are also very important besides above factors. ask adcom directly for feedbacks, good luck

Yours verbal is better than mine. It is a pity that yours TWE is less than 5. I do think it is one of the real reasons because it is clearly stated on its web site. Maybe there are some hiden requirements, such as minimum verbal in GMAT, but I don't think it is the secret. If you want to have a try, I suggest you write to or call director of admission directly and ask him/her whether TWE 5 will be helpful for your application.    It is hard to say which one plays the most important role    for York's admission. Maybe my working experience and interview help me get the offer. Good luck to you, buddy.

I have worked as a project manager for    many ys, a general manager for    another many    ys, and found     my own companies. As for my essays, I spent a lot of time on them and polished them by native editor. This school denied me with no interview though my oral English is soso(I have worked in Canada for a few time).     Maybe my disadvantage is too old? (early 40)

Yes, according to what you said, yours experiences    are enough to apply any school. Maybe you are right yours age make you at a disadvantage, although I still think yours TWE influenced your application very much. One of my friends was also rejected by York last year because of a 4.0 TWE. York is a little bit strange. Have you tried Queens, which like applicants with abundant working experience.     Good luck.

Thanks brave. I have researched all the Canadian B-schools of Top 100. Queen is the last one I can apply, which is only specialized in IT while I am only interested in General Management or Strategy or Entrepreneurship. Ivey is my favorite. It still does not reject me. UBC is my second choice.
