在这里prep笔记给的解释是changes既可以修饰in。。。也可以修饰on。。。

迷茫了。。。？？

如果这样的话，对于那种主句前有两个修饰的会不会有歧义？比如：prep2 107

个人感觉，一个是修饰歧义（我也搞不清楚），另一个是所有格的规则，所以如果有更好的选项，这个可作为effectiveness的错误而被排除。

这里的 on hearing，可以理解为 upon hearing吧

一般来说，有生命的用‘s所有格，无生命的用of所有格。

而且修饰对象应当尽量和修饰语靠近。就像楼上的同学说的那样，effect应当直接跟在后面，然后用of所有格。

不知道这样解释行不行。
