急求一道比较题的省略问题

答案是A,

我有3个问题哦，

1.B答案中除了OG上的答案说的had flourished时态不对以外，为什么还说 time as had the civilizations里的had是redundent he unneccessary呢。

2.如果A中 that flourished at the same time as the civilizations中我补出did，that flourished at the same time as did the civilizations，可以吗？\

3.如果我把A改成 that flourished at the same time as ，句子变成the site of an ancient civilization that flourished at the same time as in the Nile delta and the river valleys of the Tigris and Euphrates.可以吗？

试着解释一下

看了你的问题主要集中在这题是否应该补出谓语

首先明确一点，为什么有时候要补出谓语，是为了避免歧义，也就是错位的比较

比如 i eat apple faster than you does. 

这个句子实际上比较的是主语,如果不加does 有可能比较宾语apple 和you

但有种情况不用加谓语也不会有歧义，那就是没有宾语

I eat faster than you  这个就没有歧义，能比较的只有两个名词，补出就是多余了

这个题目也就是只有主谓的比较，你看一下

civilization flourished at the same time as the civilization

at the same time 是状语，没有比较歧义，只能是两个文化的比较，没必要补出谓语
