答案：E。我看过prep破解版的解释，说C选项错是因为错误的将athletes' performance and their preparation列为并列项。而正确的并列应该是如E选项那样将enhancing 和 preparing并列。我单从逻辑含义上无法区分应该谁和谁并列更合理些，只是觉得E没有改变原句的并列项，而C改变了。在这种类型的题目中，如果无法直接逻辑判断谁和谁并列更合理，是否只要遵从原句就是正确的呢？或者还有其他更好的解题策略和思路吗？请nn多多指教！3Q！

正确答案的意思是“enhance athletes' performance and their preparation“，所谓并列也就是enhance their preparation，提高准备？中文可以，英文不可以啊，所以不对了。

不对，enhance preparation 搭配是可以的，google一下会看到很多。

我觉得C中还有一个错误，就是their的指代，是指代programs呢，还是athletes呢？所以C错误

我也有楼主mm一样的疑问，我觉得原句是错的情况下，不可以作为判断的依据的...所以只要逻辑意思通就行吧...请牛人澄清...

若是说C指代歧义，那E也不怎么好了，因为E中同样有them指代programs或者athletes两种选择。

prepare them 没问题吧，可以说准备项目，怎么可以说准备运动员！

我觉得是这样：C中用的athletes的所有格，后面是不能用代词指代所有格的词的，所以their无法指代athletes，造成问题
