答案：A。查过之前的帖子，对于AB之间区分的解释是“主语是numbers 数量不能more than”而应该用“greater than”。

这道题我想和另一道题放在一起比较下，因为我觉得是相似的考点：

答案：A。对这道题之前帖子的解释是“Use less when referring to statistical or numerical expressions.
e.g:
Sara is less than five feet tall
Your issue essay should be a thousand words or less”

这似乎是说当指一些统计量或者具体数量表达用less, 而单纯表达比较含义的“更少”用fewer。但是，是不是后面这种情况也得分可数不可数呢？比如less money and fewer staff？而且还有一点区别，就是fewer只有形容词用法，但是less既可以当形容词又可以当副词使用。

这个是我总结的关于fewer和less的区别。但是greater和more还是区分不开。请多多指教这类数量题的使用区别和解题关键!

这个我觉得只能意会了...你可以说 A birds are more than B birds. 但是只能说 the number of A bird is greater than that of B bird. 

我觉得这里会选more 很大程度上是受numbers的影响，我也很长时间对这个很迷惑，现在明白了，its numbers 和the number of it 是一个意思，都是表达数目，不是数量

之所以不用its number也许是因为有“它的号码”这样的歧义，这个是个人理解...

你仔细看看...我何时说应该用more了？the number of 和its numbers都应该用great

我说的选more是误选more的意思...你根据后面我说的内容能逻辑判断出来...逻辑意思很重要啊..

上面的得考点貌似和这道题还不是很一样 。上面的是 考察 可数名词 应该用FEWER  而非 LESS。。。 我觉得本题的考点是 代表具体明确的数量NUMBER比较 应该用大小 GREATER OR FEWER 而名词之间的比较 用多少 MORE OR LESS
