1、B选项目中，不考虑这个句子没有转折关系，白勇解释，BUT在下述结构中永远不能成立：主语（The caterpillar of ..）+ but + 谓语动词（holds）。为什么不正确呢，这句中but 之前不是还有一个位于动词吗strikes。

2、C选项，句子缺谓语动词，结构不完整。后面的“holds”是个谓语动词呀，还是从意思出发有什么别的原因。

3、正确选项E，“...are disturbed and ，” 为什么不是“...are disturbed ，and”

句子本身的含义也不是理解，唉，谢谢了，刚刚开始看，请多多指教。感谢~~

and作为连词连接两个句子啊，“...are disturbed ，and after capturing its prey, holds the victim so that it cannot escape不就成了连接介词短语了么

1、2我似乎有点明白了。
2是D选项，不是C，holds是从句的谓语.那么1也就是,striking不是谓语,看串了

两个动词需要有连词。A没有连词，排除。
B. 出现了but这个转折词，但是原句没有转折的含义，排除。
C. which定语从句改变了原文的重心，把caterpilar的两个动作，strikes, holds变成了一个动作只剩下了holds了。
D. 把句子改成了，which, 插入语，插入语，holds... 整个句子没有谓语动词了，holds成了which从句的谓语动词。（我不是很确定是不是这样解释，因为我也这个选项不懂，求大神教我）
E. 正确选项，完美的。
