我这里有一个疑问，为什么pronounced后面没有as? 如果把句子还原，就变成

a work that literary critic S.J.pronounced the greatest translation in any language. 这不通顺阿？

这个that是定语从句的先行词吧

还原成就是pronounced that the greatest translation

a work是his translation的同位语，语法结构是就是一个名词

后面的所有就是修饰它的

所以，a work后面应该是引领的并列的两个定语从句吧

                   不知道对不对..>_<

如果pronounce sth.sth.那么这句就合理了。

不过我弱弱再问一句：

2个that并列，我记得白勇说主从句和定语从句不能并列阿？！

上面这道题，第一个that是主语从句吧？第2个that是定从阿？

這道題，我是排除法得到B的，有"until"的A,D排除，C,E時態不對，begin這個動作是過去時，taking him 7 years又不是發生在begin之前，不需要用過去完成時，得B.

而且 a work that took him 7 years to complete不是主從，是定從啊

that在從句中充當主語。如果是主從，that 後面必須是一個表意與結構都完整的句子，如It's certain that prices will go up.“價格下跌”從表意和主謂結構上來看，已經是一個完整的句子了。同時that 在主從中好像是不能做先行詞的。

根据longman，pronounce 后面从来就不接 as

但是这里为什么是 Pope's contemporary 还不是 Alexander's contemporary? 说谁谁谁的朋友，同龄人，亲戚，等不都是用名字，这里怎么用姓名？

To 5楼, 这里as不是省略, 压根就不应该有B. 常用结构和省略完全两回事.

To 8楼, 书面语一般用姓, 尤其是一些学术文章, 作者和他没那么熟嘛...
