貌似这个有点难解释，就是在读句子的时候断句的话我不会吧little和of断开，而把它们看成一个单位..

事实上，我没有见到过哪本语法书里写little of不能接复数名词，这是借鉴了下manhattangmat里instructor的一个观点。

不过Gmat官方资料里仅里面出现过一例用little of修饰的句子：大全20：Antarctica receives more solar radiation than does any other place on Earth, yet the temperatures are so cold and the ice cap is so reflective that little of the polar ice melts during the summer, were it to do so, the water levels of the oceans would rise 250 feet and engulf most of the world's great cities.

所以我暂时接受后面不能接复数的说法的.

就拿大全20的这个例子来看，little of the polar ice，中的little更像是代词(有些字典比如LDOCE也是把less定义为代词的)。也就像little of significant differences(假设这个结构成立)中，little更像是代词，而代词需要有所指，但是它不能指复数名词。
