急问 主语比较题中的省略问题！！

一直感觉比较题是俺的短板。。。快上战场了 所以比较焦虑。。请大家看下以下的例子：

A study commissioned by the Department of Agriculture showed that if calves exercise and associate with other calves，they require less medication and gain weight more quickly than those raised in confinement.

为什么those raised in confinement.的后面不加DO 呢？ 不是主语的比较都要把表示动作的省略补出来的吗？？

像这个一样------Many teenagers undergo stress, but results of a recent study indicate that the patterns of stress that girls experience are more likely to result in depression than are those that boys experience.

但是这题也没有补 如下：

Results of a United States study published in the Annals of Internal Medicine have shown that college-educated women and women living in the South and West are significantly more likely to use supplemental hormones than women living in the Northeast and Midwest

这是为啥啊 亲爱的好心的CDerS。。。。。。。。。请大家给俺指调明路。。不然就死无全尸了。。

不补只是不好，没有任何错误。（不遵守平行原则）

所谓要补出，是指有歧义: 分析句义，既可以合理的理解成主语比较，也可以合理的理解成宾语比较。

（你举的两道题目，无法合理的理解成比较宾语。所以没歧义）

如果没有歧义，不一定要补出 do. 当然你补出了就更好。

以前的比较总结帖子都是03.04年的总结，很多说法都不太对。

比较句的考点无非三个：

1. 比较对象的一致性 

1）根据逻辑意思，比较主语最合理，且无歧义，最好补出do，但是不补出不算错

2)  根据逻辑意思，比较主语最合理，但是在逻辑和语法理解成比较宾语勉强也行的时候，一定要补出 do, 取消歧义，不补算错

3）根据逻辑意思，比较宾语合理，不能补出do, 补出算错。

2. 比较分句 的时态  第二个比较分句时态独立，补出的助动词(除了have,had表示 拥有的含义之外）不表示含义，只做时态标记

3. 比较分句的平行对称。 主谓对主谓， 介宾对介宾，名词对名词，不定式对不定式，副词对副词，有时分句对分句。

比较的最终省略原则就是只要省略没有歧义就可以省，所以不要因为这个随便排除一个答案~

我觉得楼主问的很好 我也有此疑问 为什么楼主举的两个例子没有补出呢 明明在这里是会产生歧义的啊

they require less medication and gain weight more quickly than those raised in confinement. 因为medication and weight明显不和those raised in the confinement 是一类东西 所以不造成歧义是吗？

那么下面这题呢？以前问过木有人给我详细解释，如果A中光看“and more of a kind of fat they think is ”

前面的那个比较对不对呢？ 用DO来代替实意动词的HAVE 还是其实这个也没有歧义呢，B这样就可以了？

对，你的理解是对的。

第二个题目。

A和B都没有歧义，因为have的对象只能是 fat 而不能是livestock.

A的问题在于 后半句 they没有指代对象，they think is不简洁。

C的错误在于 这句话的that用错了，错误地表示wild animals有livestock fed on grain的 脂肪。

A就是歧义结构，可以理解成 than to their parents and grandparents,也可以理解成 than do their parents and gradparent.

或者，我再造个句子：

I spend more time accompanying my family than my colleagues.也是歧义结构。

恩 还有这种如果补出来的do 是放在前面好后面都可以的吗？ 像 than do their parents and gradparent (do)??

刚刚还看到您 在困境版说说GWD的语法和现在实战不太一样？

因为我下周考了 现在不知道再看些什么巩固 是看GWD 还是PREP...

而且最近有人说语法难 又有人说逻辑难。。我就晕了。。
