"How's everything in MBS? Is is wise to sellect MBS and show promising career future in Austrilia? I'm think of geting a PR when finish 2years program and continue to work in Austrilia. Could you share your reason to select MBS? By the way, it will be good if you can tell me the chance to get schoolarship and what profile of candidate would enjoy higher possiblity to get enrollment? " Since you plan to work in Australia after graduation,I believe MBS is a good choice because the reputation and Alumni network of the school would laregly help you find a job here.Learning environment is good and people are nice.As far as I know girls are easier to get scholarship and high GMAT is necessary( the guy who has full scholarship got 780) The reason why I chose MBS is that the tuition fee is cheap and Australia is a fantastic country to live in.Simple, right? But my problem is how to compete for a good job with the MBAs from US and Europe since the reputation of MBS won't help me a lot in China.Anyway, why MBA,why MBS or other B-schools as well as the plan of future career development and the added value of MBA are still several significant issues you should consider before application. Your career plan seems pretty good based on your background. But the competition for consulting jobs(especially in the big four, say Mckinsey,BCG,Bain and Booz) is also fierce. What you could rely on are still the core competencies related to your past work experience since most of the applicants are MBAs.As to me,I might pursue a job in the real estate industry after graduation. I only used the CD resources for preparing my GMAT and application. My way of selecting schools is going to MBA tours and talking to the recruiting staffs of my favourite schools directly. AGSM may have a little location based advantage over MBS.But both of them are good and you will not be regretted for choosing anyone of them in Australia. One issue you may consider is that AGSM only has Jan intake but MBS has Jan and Sep intake as well. I'm not certain about the enrollment rate, but at least the competition is not as fierce as for US and Canadian B-school. I just had a pleasant talk with the recruiting guy in Shanghai and then got the offer after the application. 3 of 42 students of Sep intake 2008 are from China. It's definitely harder for the new graduate to find a good job here especially for the students whose Engish is not their first language. The consultants in Career Services are trying to help the students but it's not working well so far.
