Is this the case for all schools this year that all international students ended up going back to their home countries? I hear similar storied from HBS. If that's the case, then it's not about NYU/Yale or any other schools. I have to think about if I should keep working or go to school...

anyone from Stern or Yale know if any interntional students at their schools managed to find US jobs/internships these days? What's their experience like?

I do know some international students from Yale SOM got internship offers from HSBC (NY Office), Citigroup (marketing), Microsoft, and so on.

But it is definitely tougher. Things may get better in two years, but who knows.

If you are an international student, I will not suggest you to go to NYU. I personally talked to one of the professors in Stern Business, basically none of the international students got job offers this year. All returned to their home country.

我不知道你和哪个人谈的话，我也不知道你说的是full time offer or internship offer, 不过我可以很肯定的说，This is not true. 今年虽然比往年难了很多 （往年基本上是投行随便进，大多数人都手拿数个offer)，但大多数人还是拿到offer了。

不是说Yale不好，每个学校各有所长。但纯粹就金融方面来讲，Stern强太多了。。

说实在话，今年各大投行的活动/面试我都去了不少，很少很少见到Yale的人。现在经济不好，各大中小型金融机构没资金跑去外地招生，大银行也大规模收缩，招生只集中于少数的core school.   这种环境下，LZ既然想在金融面发展，this is a no brainer, go Stern.

最近那些限制雇用国际学生的法律发生在各大银行internship offer已经发出去了以后，不过确实有听说2年级学生已经签了字的full time offer又被BoA反悔，所以对今后的招聘有啥影响还有待观察。

目前最大的影响是对career switcher的，市场竞争很激烈，而且internship的招聘活动10月份就开始了，如果没有金融背景很难be ready from day 1.
