我的意思是这2种用法意思上有什么区别？

当然有区别了，recent, recently 修饰的对象都不同，意思当然就不同了。
不能翻译成中文后，比较意思

其實有點不一樣: 不是"最近的延長"(recently extended), 而是"最近的銷售下降" (recent sales slump)

这类题是专门设计考像我们一样的外国人的。我们都养成了个不好的习惯，就是先翻译成中文，再理解意思。这样就造成了很多修饰，逻辑，意义等等，用中文理解是没问题的，但在英语上有了歧义。做这类题，我们还是很吃亏的。
