What on earth is the meaning of " where once"? I can't find it in any dictionary I have: Oxford    , Longman and kingsoft. Who can provide us with the exact meaning of this phrase. Thanks in advance.


Or, "where once" should be "while once"?

再问where once的意思，我也不明白。


但其中有另一个语法点：by doing 中的doing的使动者是不是一定要是前面句子的主语，例如 I got married with the beautiful girl by devoting all my money to her family.


改为for the support of ....是不是它的修饰对象就无着落了？
