选C,但是我选E,总觉得E比较顺.XDF 的课里说如果原句有ABLE TO , 不能换成CAN, 因为2者不同,要忠实原文.

is able to和can有些不一樣, 可是有時候還是要改原句的意思(e.g. 其它choices有致命的問題)

E中 would have been 指的是本应该做而没做的事，而原义实际上已经是事实。

语气一变，意思就变了。所以E很好排除的。

至于be able to和can在GMAT中最好不作为主要排除的问题点，先找其他的问题。

最后分辨时：

be able to是强调有能力

can是可以，不一定主语有能力。

为什么which前要有comma呢？

因為which引進非限制的從句去修一個東東, 非限制的修飾前後都要有comma...我記得OGexplicitly states what I just wrote ;-)
比較會混淆的是which前面有介詞的...那種結構不一樣....
