我选择的是E（正确A）。
语法笔记上写的理由是now with引导的非限定性定语从句错误修饰了主句的逻辑主语gyrfalcon，且会和with extinction造成错误的平行结构.

对此我有不同的看法：

1 ",with“结构的确是优先修饰主句的主语，但是为什么now with numbers five times greater than不能修饰gyfalcon呢？我觉得能。

如：大全203-With total sales of less than three hundred thousand dollars and fewer new subscribers than last year, the New England Theatre Company is in danger of losing its building.

2.我觉得DE错的原因是violate parallelism, 因为numbers和when无法比较，而A正确选项now和when对应。不知道我的想法是不是对。open 2 discussion!
